| What Saith the Scriptures www.whatsaiththescriptures.net |
This site offers simple studies on the Word of God. It has only just come online but already has some very interesting studies. Instead of swamping you with thoughts, it offers a list of verses on a topic with some simple but interesting thoughts on them. |
Downloadable Bibles | |
| There are many programs out there that allow you to download the entire Bible, usually with some commentries, dictionaries and other useful resources with them. They can be a very useful reference tool. We've listed two of them below, that we feel are the best available. | |
| The Online Bible www.onlinebible.com |
This is probably the best known of all the Bible programs available for download on the internet. The Online Bible has many modules available free for downloading from their website. There is also a deluxe version which can be bought with even more modules on it. It is fairly easy to use, once all is installed. |
| E-Sword www.e-sword.net |
E-Sword is lesser known than Online Bible but is 100% free. It includes the New King James version, but due to copyright issues not the New International version (Online Bible only provides these on its CD. It seems to contain the vast majority of the modules of the Online Bible and quite a few others as well. Its user interface is different to Online Bible and in some senses here is where the personal preference comes in that makes the difference between these two. |
