Lord's return
Grieving
by A. Wood

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. (1 Thessalonians 5v13)

This verse does not say that we should not grieve. Whenever a loved one goes home to be with their Lord, we grieve for we miss them. However, this verse and the ones that follow, remind us that we will see that loved one again. That unlike those who do not believe, we have a sure hope, that we will see them again in the Glory.

If you have lost a loved one recently, do not let anyone stop you grieving, for you need to let out your emotions, to come to terms with the fact that you won't see them again on this earth, but take heart, you will see them again in Heaven. Oh there are times then we miss them, times when we wish they were here, but knowing they are with Christ makes things easier. For we know that it is but for a time that we are apart.

But one day, we will see them again. With each day that passes, we are one day closer to seeing them again. Oh what a day that will be when we are reunited with our loved ones in the Glory. Then we shall be with them and with Christ for ever.
