This month we look into the book of Lamentations, and in my experience, nowadays this book doesn’t seem to be referred to much. After much study into this book, I found that in this book of the Bible, God directly is only mentioned once, but we see in chapter 3 verse 23, a very popular and mentioned sometimes by people, and of course the hymn that is sung re-iterates this verse of Scripture.
It reads: “They are new every Morning, Great is Thy Faithfulness” I wander whether you think about the faithfulness of God? I wander does it cheer you to know that even when we mess up, even when we fail, and do things wrong, let people down, He remains faithful. We see in this book, God as the ever faithful one, upon who, we can and must depend. Please send any questions or comments you have on this article to s.latham@assemblyyouth.net
