"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1v8
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." Revelation 22v13

For the final two articles in this series we are leaving John and going on to Revelations. Here we find two more I am's which we will look at this month and next month before beginning a completely new series in the new year.

Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters in the Greek alphabet. When Jesus Christ was saying He is "the Alpha and the Omega" He is saying He is the beginning and end of all things. Let us consider how this world was made.

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1v1
All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1v3).
Christ was not just there when the world was made, He helped make them. It is through Him that everything begun.

In 1 Corinthians 15v20-23 we are reminded Christ is the firstfruits of the coming resurrection. Just as He is, so shall we be, resurrected unto newness of life.

Let us not forget that He is who is to come", in a coming day He will return (1 Corinthians 15v24-27, John 14v1-4). He will take those that are His, home to Heaven. Then after the tribulation and millenial reign, He will judge the others (Revelation 20v11-15). Will you be there when He returns the first time?
