A month on, how quickly the last month went, but the wedding went well, the weather was good for when it needed to be good, so thank you for your prayers in this matter. Now, on with this months article, looking into the book of Ezekiel. A book of the Bible that isn’t an easy one to study, as I found over the last few days, so I’ll attempt to look into God’s role in this book to the best of my abilities.
The word God is mentioned 257 times in this book (King James Version)
May I bring your attention to chapter 3 verses 8 and 9. Here we read of Ezekiel being strengthened by God for the prophetic ministry to which he has been called. How interesting? Ezekiel is called; God gives strength to him for the far from easy task in hand. Ever felt like that? God calls you to something and you feel so unable to do the job given, from this we can see that God gives him a task, doesn’t just leave him to get on with it but gives him the strength and get up and go to do that task. I truly believe it is the same for us as Christians, God gives us a job to do and enables us, strengthens our weaknesses. I find that an amazing thing and trust as you walk with and for Him, you will take to the callings of God, grab hold with both hands knowing God wouldn’t have called you to do that job unless he could give strength and courage to do so. A calling by God is a wonderful thing, I wander what you think when you feel you are being called by God? It is always something that prayer must come into it; pray that you may know His will. God has plans for us all and it is for us to find out and follow His will. Do you know it? Please send any questions or comments you have on this article to s.latham@assemblyyouth.net
