So Jesus again said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. (John 10v7) In these verses we read of Christ as being the door, the doorway into Heaven. For as we read in verse 9 it is through Him that we are Saved. Let us remind ourselves that it is not through any work that we can do that we are Saved, but through Him, through that work He has already done at Calvary. Before we were Saved we were under bondage to sin, but now we are set free, we can go in and out freely. Some have said that this means to go in to worship and out to witness. Then we come to find pasture this reminds us of Christ's sustaining power, how He and He alone keeps us going. When life gets tough, and let's face it, for the Christian, things can get tough, we can always turn to Christ. To sustain us, in His Word and through prayer, talking things over with God.
