Lord's return
intro
by A. Wood

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. John 14v3
The Lord's return, what does it mean to you? Are you even certain He is coming back? Over the next few months I want to take a look at the Lord's return and see what it means to us, as we live our lives here on earth.

In the verse above our Lord Jesus Christ makes it quite clear that He is coming again and what's more when He comes He WILL take us to be with Himself. Why? That we may be where He is. This is one of the most amazing things for us as Christians. Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the creator of the world, the one who knows all things, including everything bad about us, loves us, and wants us to be with Him in Heaven. It is just as easy to write as it is to read these words without taking this in. So let's repeat that, Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the creator of the world, the one who knows all things, including everything bad about us, loves us, and wants us to be with Him in Heaven. How amazing is that?

But it wasn't just to His disciples He said this. Turn with me to John 17v24: Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. Christ wants us to be with Him, to see His glory. We have a wonderful Saviour let us never forget that, nor forget to praise Him for all He has done, all He is doing, and all He will do.
