How much do you care for your fellow saint?
by A. Wood

For I have no one like him, who will be genuinely concerned for your welfare. Philippians 2v20

Can I ask you, how much do you care for your fellow saint? That is your fellow believer in the Lord Jesus Christ? I don't just mean your friends that you've known for years, but perhaps those you don't know that well, perhaps those overseas?

Timothy here is described as one who is genuinely concerned for the welfare of the saints at Philippi. Sadly it seems everyone else was too worried about themselves. It is easy to focus just on ourselves and our friends, without looking at the bigger picture, and considering our fellow saints. We should take an active interest in them, and pray for them, for while we may not know much about them, the Lord knows all about them.

In James 1v27 we are told that Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. can I ask you, when was the last time you visited someone? Perhaps there is an old person or indeed a young person in your meeting who doesn't get much Christian fellowship for whatever reason. Maybe they are widows, or a from an unsaved home, and you could just go and lift them a bit Spiritually. Think about it, pray about it, and see how the Lord leads.
