Who do you live for?
by A. Wood

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2v20

As you may know by now, I like to ask questions. This month I would like to ask you, who do you live for?

If you have trusted in Christ as your Saviour, then you have a new life. Your old life has been crucified with Christ there on the cross of Calvary, and now Christ lives in you. When we get saved, God doesn't suddenly take over our lives, He starts to work in us, but only as we let Him. We have a choice, we can continue to live for ourselves as if nothing had happened, or we can start to live for Christ.

Why should you live for Christ? Well Paul answers this in the second half of this verse. Christ loved you enough to give Himself for you on the cross. Surely that deserves some reaction from us? My brother, my sister you have a choice to make. You can choose to live for yourself, or you can choose to life for Christ, the one who loved you so much, that He was willing to die there on the cross for you. Remember God is no man's debtor and those who place their faith in God, He never lets down.
