Thought for the month
Time
by S. Latham

redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5v16

I wander what your thoughts are as 2007 is upon us and we are already nearly half way through January. Do you have aspirations, plans, desires, needs that 2007 may hold? Well, I want to look at the very aspect of time. How are you using it? What do you think about it? What are your timekeeping skills like? If they are anything like mine, the only time I was ever early was at birth!

Time is a valuable thing and I believe we need challenging as a new year is here. Time passes us by without us having any power over it, we can't stop it, slow it down, go back or forward in time and however much we would wish, we cant change the past.

I believe however you look at it, we are answerable to God for how we use our time just like how we are in terms of stewardship with our finances. I wander how you can justify your time. Time here on God’s earth is limited and therefore should be used carefully.

We may question ourselves, are we speaking to others about the saviour? Are we living our life in a way that pleases Him? Are we in expectation of His coming or will you be found not expecting? Everything we do generally in life is governed by time, I wander, as I finish these few brief thoughts, when you are living your daily life for God, are you allowing Him the time, and being watchful of how you spend the time available to you in 2007?
