And so we begin a new year, no doubts we have already made plans for what we’d like to do. But when making these plans have we considered God? James 4v13-15: Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live and do this, or that James would here tell us, that while we may like to make plans for the year ahead, we need to remember that our life is but a vapour that is it comes and it goes. It should not be a case of what we want to do, but what the Lord wants us to do. So let each one of us privately come before the Lord and seek out His Will for the days that lay ahead of us.
