Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us. In the busy lives that we live these days, it's not often that we stop. I would like you to with me now just stop and look back over your life. To look back at the ups and the downs and see what God has done. To look back and see how He has helped you at various points. Those times then no one else could help, He was there. Those times that He moved other people to come to our aid. Those times when He lifted us up on the mountain top. It does as all good to look back and see that up until this point the Lord has helped us. Now let me ask you a question, if God has helped you in the past, can He help you in the present? Maybe it's a strange question for me to ask, but in your present situation, whatever it might be, can God help? Now let me ask you another question, have you asked for His help? Sometimes we are so busy doing x, y, z that we don't even stop to ask God to help us. So in the month that lies ahead of us, let us not forget to stop and take time to recall what God has done, and to ask Him for His help throughout this month.
