ASSEMBLY YOUTH

Wilderness Years
daily offerings
by A. Wood

In Numbers 28 we have the daily offerings. Before we look at it, can I ask you what is your offering to God. Thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ dying for our sins, we who have believed, need make no sin offering. However, considering Jesus was willing to give His life for us, do we not want to give something back? While it can never match what God has given, surely we should want to please Him every day. Under the law the Jews had to make these offerings, but under grace we are given free will, to choose to offer our lives back to God.

The offerings were made morning and evening. The offering was not for sin but to be pleasing to God. What could please God more, than us taking time to consider and give thanks for what His Son has done at Calvary. Then to go deeper and look at His greatness shown to us throughout His Word and indeed our own lives. Our morning and evening prayer times, should not just be a long line of requests, but we should stop, give thanks and worship Him who has done great things for us.
