"I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore." Revelation 1v18 These words were said as words of comfort by our Lord Jesus Christ, to the apostle John. When the apostle first saw Jesus in this scene, he "fell at his feet as dead." But our Lord Jesus comforted Him with these words. As they must have reminded John, they so remind us, that this is Jesus who is alive. This is the same Jesus, who died there at the cross of Calvary. Though He died He is alive forever, just as in a coming day we will die on this earth, but live eternally there in Heaven. As we end our series on the I am's of Christ, it is good to remind ourselves that Jesus is coming again for His own. Even before this year ends, the Lord may have returned for His own, what a glorious day that will be for each one of us who has trusted in the Saviour, when we go to be with Him in Heaven.
