Thought for the month
Our Daily Breath and Health
by S. Latham

Well, another month is upon us, it doesn’t seem 2 minutes since I was writing my articles last month! I wander, what has happened to you in the last 30 days or so? Well what has happened to me has brought me to write this article on this particular subject.

Around the end of the July, I was involved in a car accident with another vehicle – which as I look back, could have been any type of vehicle but on this occasion was only a car. This accident could have been a really nasty one, and I was blessed and kept in that I didn’t receive any major, life-threatening injuries, that a few weeks wasn’t able to cure.

Do you ever thank God for your safe keeping? Does this only happen when we have a close encounter with something that could compromise our safety or health? I’ve touched on a similar subject before, if I remember correctly it was when I looked into the Lord’s prayer.

Our life moves along so quickly nowadays, and in our rush to get out the door to work in the morning, do we thank Him for our breath, health, faculties? When we get home at night, do we take time to thank Him for safety throughout the day? How many times do we come before the Lord in prayer before we set out on a long journey but not when we’re about to drive the 1 or 2 miles into town? Do we realise as we live here on Rarth, the Lord is watching everything we do? He knows what is going to happen to us, so while He gives us breath to grant us life, He is also keeping us safe in all we do. Thank Him today.
