So we come to Numbers 20, and at the start of this chapter we see that the Israelites are again complaining. Having seen all the blessings the Lord had supplied them with up to this point you would have thought they would have learnt to rely on the Lord by now. But no, when they run out of water, they again complain to Moses about the lack of water. Yet how true this is of ourselves. Is it not so that when we get into difficulties that we complain, despite all that God has supplied us with in the past, it is as if we have forgotten about it all. Instead of coming before the Lord in prayer as we should, we complain about our problems. Let us each take time to recall what the Lord has done for us in our lives and rely on Him to supply our needs in coming days.
