This month, I want to bring to your attention something that someone has said to me a little while ago. You might think it is strange but it has made me think, challenged me in a big way. This person, I won’t mention their name, said to me the following exact words; “How can you love or follow someone who is dead?” This person has been thinking seriously about the Christian faith, and has many things to ask, this being one of them. It really made me think that there must be a lot of people in this world today, who would write off the Christian faith, and in doing so the Lord Jesus Christ, all because they haven’t read the full ‘story’. This has really challenged me over the past little while, enough to share it with you in this month’s article. I have been challenged with just that one question. It has made me ask myself a lot of questions. Do I live in a way that people will not only see that I am a Christian and follow Christ, but that Jesus Christ is alive Now? The person had this question, because he could honestly say he’s never met anyone who proves in the way they live, that Jesus rose from the dead, and is living, providing for those that love Him. I pointed out the following words of scripture, and it is only right I bring it to your attention now. It is Luke 24 v 1-8 “Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’” And they remembered His words.” As Christians, it can be so easy to be complacent, maybe thinking that Jesus isn’t on this earth or anywhere near…… not the case and the way we live out life should echo the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ is alive, let us take the doubt away from those who doubt our faith in the month that’s ahead, even if they haven’t shown interest in the things of Christ, let us be aware that the way we live our Christian lives should prove that He is Alive today.
